Nominate for the 77th Australian Speedcar Championship

WELCOME BACK TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA for the 77th running of the Australian Speedcar Championship! SA last held the title in 2013/14 at the then named Speedway City, where NSW's Adam Clarke took the win; while Murray Bridge Speedway last hosted the event in 2008/09 and saw American Kevin Swindell named Australian Champion!

South Australia has had only 3 Australian Champions since the event began in 1935, including Bert Woodman (36/37), Phil March (85/86) and Phil Herreen (91/92), so the pressure is on our local heroes to add one on our home turf! It will again be a tough ask though considering the caliber of talent expected from interstate, New Zealand and the Untied States!

This season we return to a cracking Speedcar track, Murray Bridge Speedway, and with the support of Barry and Felicity Waldren and Darren Shaddock of Made Too Go PL, Speedcars Australia and Speedway Australia; this event is expected to be huge!.

With the South Australian Speedcar Championship and Round 3 of the Six Crown Series the week prior (Feb 3rd), tow money is available for all competitors (see the Six Crown supplementary regulations HERE); and the venue will also be hosting two major Late Model

events over the same 2 weekends! To nominate for the $7k SA Speedcar Title on Feb 3rd, visit our SASpeedcars nomination page HERE (opens in a new window).

If you choose to compete in both events and stay for the week, we're planning to entertain you in the days between with a range of social actives including:

If you would like to attend both weekends but need to fly home during the week, our local teams have also offered up secure parking for any teams looking to leave their trucks, trailers and tow vehicles. Contact Alison via SASA@welovedirt.com or 0419 352 231 for further information.

Below you will find the important dates, nomination information and most importantly the red nomination button which will take you to the full online nomination form for the Championship event. We've also included some local Murray Bridge accommodation options with track-affiliated discounts; plus we'll share a seperate downloadable post in January with local supplier information including methanol, race tyres, parts and more.

We look forward to seeing you all here in February!

President - SA Speedcar Association
